Ingredients
  

Meat
  • 1 lb ground beef or ground turkey
Vegetables
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 medium green bell pepper, chopped
Sauce
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp mustard
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
Buns
  • 4 pieces hamburger buns toasted if desired

Method
 

Cooking the Meat
  1. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula.
  2. Drain excess fat if necessary.
Adding Vegetables
  1. Add the chopped onion and green bell pepper to the skillet and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
Making the Sauce
  1. Stir in the ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  2. Simmer for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Serving
  1. Spoon the mixture onto the hamburger buns and serve hot.
