Ingredients
  

Beef Filling
  • 1 lb ground beef 80/20 blend for flavor
  • 1 tsp salt to taste
  • 1 tsp black pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 cup water for simmering
Taco Assembly
  • 8 small corn tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce for topping
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes for topping
  • 1 cup shredded cheese cheddar or Mexican blend
  • 1/2 cup sour cream for serving
  • 1/4 cup sliced jalapeños optional

Method
 

Prepare the Beef Filling
  1. In a skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula.
  2. Drain excess fat, then add salt, black pepper, chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  3. Pour in the water, stir, and let it simmer for about 10 minutes until the mixture thickens.
Assemble the Tacos
  1. Warm the corn tortillas in a separate skillet or microwave until pliable.
  2. Spoon the beef mixture onto each tortilla.
  3. Top with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, cheese, sour cream, and jalapeños if desired.
  4. Serve immediately and enjoy!
