  • 1 cup Whole Milk
  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Fresh Lemon Juice About 2-3 lemons
  • 2 tablespoons Lemon Zest Finely grated
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt

Method
 

Prepare the Mixture
  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, whole milk, and granulated sugar until the sugar is dissolved.
  2. Add the fresh lemon juice, lemon zest, vanilla extract, and salt. Mix well until combined.
Chill the Mixture
  1. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until thoroughly chilled.
Churn the Ice Cream
  1. Pour the chilled mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer's instructions until it reaches a soft-serve consistency.
Freeze the Ice Cream
  1. Transfer the churned ice cream to an airtight container and freeze for at least 2 hours to firm up.
