Ingredients
  

Base Ingredients
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1/4 cup honey
Seasonings
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper optional for heat

Method
 

Prepare the Sauce
  1. In a medium saucepan, combine ketchup, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, and honey.
  2. Whisk the ingredients together until smooth.
  3. Add Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, salt, and cayenne pepper.
  4. Stir well to combine all ingredients.
  5. Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat, then reduce heat to low.
  6. Let the sauce simmer for about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  7. Remove from heat and let cool before using or storing.
