Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • 1 lb ground beef preferably lean
  • 1 cup onion chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup bell pepper chopped
  • 1 can diced tomatoes 14.5 oz
  • 1 cup corn frozen or canned
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese shredded
Spices
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Method
 

Cooking the Beef
  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  2. Drain excess fat if necessary.
Adding Vegetables
  1. Add the chopped onion, garlic, and bell pepper to the skillet. Cook until the vegetables are softened, about 5 minutes.
Combining Ingredients
  1. Stir in the diced tomatoes, corn, chili powder, cumin, salt, and black pepper. Cook for another 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  2. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top and cover until melted, about 2-3 minutes.
Serving
  1. Serve hot, garnished with fresh herbs if desired.
