Ingredients
  

For the Filling
  • 1 lb Ground beef use lean ground beef for a healthier option
  • 2 cloves Garlic fresh minced
  • 1 medium Onion finely diced
  • 1 cup Bell pepper chopped
  • 2 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp Sesame oil toasted
For Serving
  • 8 leaves Lettuce leaves iceberg or butter
  • 1/4 cup Fresh herbs mint or cilantro
  • 1/4 cup Chopped peanuts

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Carefully wash and dry your lettuce leaves until crisp.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add ground beef. Cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Stir in minced garlic and ginger into the skillet with the beef, cooking for an additional 1-2 minutes.
  4. Pour in soy sauce, hoisin sauce, and a dash of sesame oil. Stir well and simmer for 3-4 minutes.
  5. Spoon the savory beef mixture into each lettuce leaf.
  6. Top each wrap with diced green onions and shredded carrots.
