  • 1 cup buttermilk for marinating
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour for coating
  • 1 tablespoon paprika for seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups vegetable oil for frying
Sides
  • 4 cups mashed potatoes prepared
  • 2 cups green beans steamed

Method

Prepare Chicken
  1. Marinate the chicken thighs in buttermilk for at least 30 minutes or overnight in the refrigerator.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
Fry Chicken
  1. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Remove chicken from buttermilk, allowing excess to drip off, then dredge in the flour mixture, coating evenly.
  3. Carefully place the coated chicken in the hot oil and fry for about 10-12 minutes per side, or until golden brown and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  4. Remove chicken and place on paper towels to drain excess oil.
