Pizza Base
  • 1 lb pizza dough
Taco Fillings
  • 1 cup store-bought salsa
  • 1 cup refried beans
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/4 cup chicken stock
  • 1 tbsp ground chili powder
  • 2 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 cup shredded Monterrey jack cheese
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Toppings
  • 2 cups shredded lettuce
  • 2 cups diced tomato
  • 1/2 cup white onion, diced
  • 1/4 cup cilantro, chopped
  • 1/2 cup mild pickled jalapenos
  • sour cream for serving

Method
 

Cooking Process
  1. Preheat the oven to 450° F and lightly grease a half-sheet tray with olive oil.
  2. Stretch pizza dough on a bench with a rolling pin to fit the length of the prepared sheet tray. Let the dough rest in the pan for 20 minutes.
  3. Cook the ground beef until fully cooked and drain excess fat. Set aside.
  4. Assemble the pizza by spreading refried beans on the dough, then top with salsa, the beef mixture, and finish with cheese.
  5. Bake the pizza at 450° F for 12 - 15 minutes.
  6. Garnish with cilantro, onion, jalapenos, shredded lettuce, and diced tomatoes. Serve with sour cream.
