Ingredients
  

  • 2 grapefruit
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • water for boiling

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 275 degrees.
  2. Slice one grapefruit into slices.
  3. Place the slices in a pot with water and bring to a boil for two minutes.
  4. Remove the rind from the second grapefruit, ensuring to remove as much of the white as possible to reduce bitterness.
  5. Slice the skinned grapefruit and break down into quarters. Pat dry.
  6. Coat in powdered sugar and place on a lined baking sheet.
  7. Remove the grapefruit slices from the water and pat dry. Place on a separate lined baking sheet and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
  8. Place both sets of fruit into the oven and bake for 30 minutes.
  9. Flip all of the fruit over and bake for an additional 30 minutes.
  10. Remove the fruit from the lined baking sheets and allow to cool completely on a wire cooling rack.
  11. Store in an airtight container.
