Ingredients
  

Cake
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries washed and drained
Crumb Topping
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Method
 

Prepare the Cake
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Stir in the milk and mix until combined.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  7. Gently fold in the blueberries.
Prepare the Crumb Topping
  1. In a small bowl, combine the flour, brown sugar, melted butter, and cinnamon. Mix until crumbly.
Bake the Cake
  1. Pour the cake batter into the prepared pan and sprinkle the crumb topping evenly over the batter.
  2. Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  3. Allow to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
